Beside the fact that the vacuole is larger in the plant cell than in the animal cell.
I’m trying to do a comparison of the two for my assignment on vacuoles, but i can’t seem to find much information on vacuoles in animal cells, besides the fact that the vacuoles are smaller…HELP!

besides the larger size of vacuole in plant cells, the amount of vacuole also greater than the one in animal cells (could be more than 1).
Other difference between in plant & animal cells is the main function of the vacuole itself. Vacuole in plant cells mostly is used for water storage,it helps to maintain the turgor in the cell. Even though it also can be used for storing foods (e.g., proteins in seeds), storing wastes, storing malic acid in CAM plants, and storing various ions (e.g., calcium, sodium, iron).
