   this is all wrong my mom invented this in 1993 this is a peace of crap i can build it fo 25 bucks and they infrenging the patten this thing sucks

   If you are having trouble with things clumping up, then you probably have too many nitrogen rich materials (like kitchen scraps), and not enough carbon rich materials (like dry leaves).

   One easy way to get more carbon into your pile is to use some shredded newspaper if you don’t have leaves.

   You can also leave the lid off for a few days to let the material dry out if you have a bunch of soggy nitrogen rich material.

   This applies to any compost bin, and not just the Tumbleweed.

   I actually bought this product, but have issues with it. The reason is because the materials don’t mix they just slide from one end to the other. In order to make proper compost all the materials ahev to mix together so they can decompose, and this one doesn’t allow for that. I suggest anyone who wants a composter do more reasearch online and look for something that turns and mixs the materials. This one isn’t that great.

   What a great composter. I think I will go buy two of them. Composting is great! I use to throw all my leaves, grass and kitchen waste in the garbage but now I will compost them.
