@edmcadam It’s usually to pour the water into a plate or you can pour onto a root/stone if it’s having a decent shape.

    excellent video, thank you!
Quick question if you wouldn’t mind: what’s the best way to pour water into tanks with this kind of fine sand (as opposed to tanks with small rocks and pebbles)??

i wish i saw this video earlier. I planted the grass altogether, not spread out. Will it still spread across the gravel or stay in that one spot?

Get some decent biological and cut your cycling in half. Use Carbon for the first 2-3 days then chuck it IMO and switch to just a quality fiber, peatmoss/ammonia carbs mix. 80/20. Use root tabs and buy Yamato Green plant fertilizer. Trust me.

Read the label, for a 10 gallon, I would use half a cap of Seachem Floursih Excel, but it depends on the brand….

  11. rootsproductions808 says:

i did a 50% water change and its my secend day cycling i did it cause my water was STILL foggy so someone told me to do it and i did. it helped but there is kinds a bit left. so i went to get that bulb philip 89 and couldnt find it at 2 stores and so i went to petsmart and got a 20 watt flo bulb. it looked warm. wich i didnt like but kinda do now. anyway i got the master test kit and decided i would learn how to do it. i got an ammonia of 0! and ph is 7.6 my question is why r the tests perfect?

The pot is there to control the rootball.Removing it will let the plant grow faster.

  18. Mahdiarmy says:

    best plant video ever

  19. FishLoverX says:

actually is ur choice… if u wan to control their root from growing too long then put in pots, but they will grow slower because there are competition between the plants for nutrien in the pots

  20. ketanovas says:

reading the “uh oh” part i’m guessing he was sarcastic here :)

  21. FishLoverX says:

Pots is used to control the growth of the root so that it doesnt grows too long.
Its ok not to remove the pot, but seperating them into parts make them grow faster.

  22. beyondersam says:

first of all you will definitely need a layer of substrate, to feed your plants, the sand or gravel goes on top of that.
you can buy proper aquarium substrate at your local pet shop (normally).

  23. RageQuiter2000 says:

uh oh, when i put my plant in, i didnt know you had to remove it from the pot, should i do that right now or would it be find

  24. Turbokanamies says:

ok cool, thx for the info :)

  25. oldskooldayz says:

Its a mix of nutriants and sand, best to use it if you want lots of plants, you will still have to add liquid nutraints after a few months tho.
