Does anyone else have trouble with some flower seeds? I can do Nasturium, poppy, allysum and snapdragons. Everything else I’ve tried either don’t do real well, or don’t make it at all. Or some of them come up and then some peter out. So I’m wondering, what kinds of seeds have you had luck with by just sowing them directly in the soil? What have you not had any luck with?

They are filling one of my flower planters that I have morning glory seeds in. Is there something that I can use or do to keep this pests out of my flower boxes? I heard that yellow cornmeal is good. Is this good to use? Appreciate any info…..

I have 3 grown kitties, and they all have started usng my new flower garden for their litter box . I guess they like the soft dirt. I heard that moth balls will help, so I tried sprinkling some around on top of the dirt, but it didnt help at all. Any help is appreciated very much. Thanks

My fiance and I are wanting to redo his flower beds but they are badly overgown with grass how do I get rid of the grass without runing the soil and how long do I have to wait before we can plant anything once we kill the grass?

Red Wigglers. aka ‘Bama Jumpers.
However – if your compost is outside, and you have winter – you would have to insulate, or choose a different worm species. Red Wigglers don’t do winter.
I have a worm bin in my house, with red wigglers, and since it never freezes, it’s been going well for nearly 6 years.

We just got blessed by MIL with a rototiller
so we don’t have to hand shovel our veg garden and
new flower bed
my question is what do we add to the soil
peat moss and top soil, or black earth or triple mix
or some or all ?
