Question by rose: What kinds of plants are easygoing to move care of, inexpensive, and can deal the stale?
I’m doing a project and need to buy plants. I would like to grow some plants indoor but don’t really know where to start. Are there any plants that meet all those requirements? I don’t really mind if it it is pretty or not i just need something that is easy to take care of, cheap, and can handle the cold.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!p.s. If you know any places you can buy cheap plants that would be great too!

How much cold must it handle? If there isn’t snow on the ground, you could go to a nearby forest and dig up pine seedlings.Peas handle cold fairly well, but not extreme cold line pines. I’ve heard that peas will sprout through snow, but can’t attest to that, personally.Depending on where you live, Upland Cress (Creecy Greens) will tolerate cold – it’s the earliest wild vegetable in some places. Around where I live, Miner’s lettuce is similar. It’s coming up in our back yard now, and withstands hard frost. For both of these, you just go out to some vacant lot or wilderness area and get some.

Ok, I need to find a dependent variable that I can easily and consistently control that affects the plants
Biomass
Diversity
Competition
population size

Any idea, the obvious ones are temperature and stuff, but this experiment is gonna take place over the course of like 5-6 days and I cant be with the plants every single second of the process.

Remember the independent variable can be anything but the dependent variable has to be one of the things listed.

I can even use underwater plants if necesary

If you grow plants under different colors of cellophane it will affect their biomass. Since chlorophyll is the predominant pigment in most plants (all the green ones), the plants whose chlorophyll is most efficient will have more energy and grow faster. Chlorophyll absorbs red light most efficiently, and green light least efficiently, so a decent hypothesis to make would be that the plant under the red filter would grow the best, purple or orange might be second best, blue or yellow might be third, and green would be worst.

I’m doing a science project with watering plants with certain amount of coffee to see if it has any negative affects on the plant. The problem, however, is choosing a plant/seed to start with. I wanted to observe the plant above the soil, but didnt know where to start.
So any ideas? A list of seeds/plants would be useful ^^
oh, and links if you have any would help too

Water cress. You can get the seeds for that easily, it’s what they use on “Chia Pets”.

Bluegrass or other lawn grasses work well also.

A big advantage of Chia Pets is that the growing medium, seed distribution and similar variables are already controlled in a factory mass production environment for you. All you have to do is set the control and the experiment(s) in the same environment and run your trials.

A while after I uploaded this video, I received several comments that showed nothing but pure stupidity. As such, I had blocked the comments. I didn’t want to do that, but I was forced to. Now, I decided to give another chance. Please be polite, on-topic, and most of all, think before you comment. Thank you. I will not hesitate to block users who are minimally distracted when they comment. This is a brief video that gives you a simple, yet weak strategy to gain some quick cash in Plants vs Zombies. There are other strategies that require further planing, timing and resources. Mine is a simpler strategy, but doesn’t give you as much money. So please, don’t comment on the fact that it’s a weak strategy. If you came here to search for a stronger, yet harder tutorial, check out the video responses. Note that the Gold Magnet doesn’t need the Coffee Bean (I use the Coffee Bean to wake up the Doom-Shroom, which is optional). I received several comments complaining about this, so please don’t do that unless you want to get blocked. Another thing: This is a special mode that gives you 5000 sun at the start. It’s the Last Stand mode, and it’s unlocked after you played a certain number of mini-games. Please don’t ask about this, unless it’s not answered here.
