The sizable maturity of people, as far as I know, find handsome flora to have a certain aesthetic cost. I find it very enjoyable to just sit and examine the flora grow in a stunning backyard. The only unexciting thing about scrutiny a patch, which is perhaps what may be the very allocate which I find so relaxing, is the sameness of the intact thing. 1) The Bigger, the Better! Select a large decorative container. 18” – 24” works best.

2) Plant the container where you would like to keep it, or put it on a plant dolly. It will be heavy.

3) Make sure there are drainage holes in the bottom of the pot. If there are none, drill a few in a triangle pattern. The planter should also have a saucer.

4) A drainage medium should be placed in the bottom of the pot, about 2” deep. Recycle broken terra cotta pots or Styrofoam peanuts as your medium. Pebbles work well also, but are heavy.

There is more to house plant care than sticking a plant near a window and leaving it grow. The truth is that there are many houseplants out there that are very forgiving of error and when you are just getting started, gravitate towards those. Head to the local nursery and see if the clerk can recommend something for you, or look at the labels and see if there is a level of skill required. Proper house plant care requires you keep in mind some basics. Lets take a look at some of them now.
