i can grow vegetables indoors and outdoors, as well as pantng new plants from seeds and bulbs. much growing is done artificially; so how come seed dispersal and pollination is so important?
What do people mean when they say the seeds produce fruits in flowers? I do not see fruits growing from the stems of daffodils or roses.

Hi,
Ok right when a plant flowers it is looking for pollination. As soon as it pollinates the flower will drop off, then you will find a seed packet left in its place few weeks later. WIth vegetables this is different, vegetables are roots and stems as it were so you will not see obvious seed packets.
This is bad if you have an ornamental garden, however if you are growing fruits this is very important. Each flower once pollinated sucessfully will grow seeds inside each peice of fruit.
So if you are growing fruits pollination is vital otherwise you will just have plants that will not produce fruit
Hope this helps
Where do you think all the seeds and bulbs come from?/ that’s why we need pollination etc in the wild because other wise,- like people inbreeding would mean that finally DNA would kill off the species
It’s very important as it’s how they reproduce. When the flowers of Rose’s die they create buds, if they’ve germinated, opening one of these you’ll see the seed’s, so you haven’t looked very well.
Pollination is the fertilisation of the plant, so like sex is important for humans to have babys, so it is similar as in pollination is for plants
