Question by chasesweat: How did the research of Clausen, Keck and Heisey help in the understanding of how plants adapt to their enviro

Best answer:

Answer by ivorytowerboy
Sometimes plants will appear very different based on their environment (plants show alot of developmental plasticity). Shrubs on hilltops may be shorter than shrubs in valleys…Is it genetic? Are they different species. Clausen took seeds from plants in one environment and grew them in different climes. Much of the difference was due to developmental plasticity.

Question by ktrio730: Is it too late to plant seeds for my garden on long island or should I just buy established plants?
I have a bunch of plant seeds for things such such as tomatoes, peppers, and pumpkins. is it too late for me to plant the seeds or should I just buy the small plants they sell at places like home depot and plant them in the garden? thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by waters
check the back of the seed packet for the days to maturation information. If you have that many days before first frost in your area then seeds are still ok. I would still get one or two tomato plants so you can start enjoying them sooner while you wait for your seeded plants to start producing.

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by rose: What kinds of plants are easygoing to move care of, inexpensive, and can deal the stale?
I’m doing a project and need to buy plants. I would like to grow some plants indoor but don’t really know where to start. Are there any plants that meet all those requirements? I don’t really mind if it it is pretty or not i just need something that is easy to take care of, cheap, and can handle the cold.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!p.s. If you know any places you can buy cheap plants that would be great too!

Best answer:

Answer by roderick_young
How much cold must it handle? If there isn’t snow on the ground, you could go to a nearby forest and dig up pine seedlings.Peas handle cold fairly well, but not extreme cold line pines. I’ve heard that peas will sprout through snow, but can’t attest to that, personally.Depending on where you live, Upland Cress (Creecy Greens) will tolerate cold – it’s the earliest wild vegetable in some places. Around where I live, Miner’s lettuce is similar. It’s coming up in our back yard now, and withstands hard frost. For both of these, you just go out to some vacant lot or wilderness area and get some.

I doubt they’ll kill each other they are like 3metres apart lol
They are three males in separate tanks around the room.

Best answer:

Answer by VampireYuki
Yes it is normal. Some fish just like to swim around without a big care and some swim without you watching. Its like a person. They have personalities.
